The err…new album
…..is being mixed in London by Jason Gale. The finished product should be done by the end of February and available during April. We are considering having a ‘launch’ party and would be open to ideas as to which venue. Of the possibles, The Union at Saltash would be good as it is the band’s ’spiritual’ home. Send me some ideas!
Acoustic gigs…….
……the band has been considering playing smaller venues to open up the possibility of attracting an even bigger fan base and this new idea took shape last Sunday at the Launceston Arms, Launceston. Andy Hedges substituted the full drum kit for an electronic ‘pad’ and the band fitted into a much smaller space. The atmosphere was great and the band tight. This is a different approach and worked really well.
Meanwhile….
………the album, remember that?……..is coming along nicely thank you. It’s being mixed in London by Jason Gale using some top class software unavailable to us here at present. Timescale… err ….soon?
Songs……
……..are under construction. Andy Hedges is about to finish a song with a working title of ‘Trust’ as is Derek with a working title of ‘Wise Words From A Wise Man’. Derek & Rob’s first collaboration ‘Pigeons On The Roof’ is ready for rehearsal as is Derek’s ‘1959′ and ‘Blue Suit’. OMG, the talent!!!!
Gigs…..
….are coming in steadily again for next year. We are again pushing for festivals and local radio to enhance the bands reputation.
Claire….
…….has settled into her new home in Cambridge and will be there for the forseeable future. Hope to get her back sometime before I retire.
New last minute gig!!
The Lansdowne at Dawlish has stepped in to replace the lost Fortescue gig, albeit one week later. See you there on 14th November
The Fortescue, Salcombe – POSTPONED
The gig this Saturday at the Fortescue at Salcombe has been postponed. This is very short notice and apologies to everyone for any inconvenience. It is expected to be rescheduled a little nearer Christmas.
Even newer songs!
The forthcoming gig at the Woodside will feature Rob’s ‘Windy Edge Blues’, Derek’s ‘Blue Suit’ and even newer song (only finished last Saturday) ‘Wedding Day’.
The subject matter of the latter concerns an unnamed band member, but I’m sure a few beers with the right person will reveal the truth behind the song.
OMG we have become prolific again!
