Polperro Festival………
……was last Sunday. The band played at 2 pm followed by Mad Dog Macrea. The venue was top class in a most georgeous Cornish village and the sun shone!! Really looking forward to this excellent event again next year.
Festivals are next…
…..Polperro with Kingsbridge the following week makes June an exciting month. The sun will shine and with the band supporting Mad Dog Macrea at Polperro it should be a big occasion. Try this link http://www.polperrofestivalsandlights.co.uk/localmusic.htm
The new album has been well received and there are murmurings within the band of starting the next one now as we have so much material available.
emails….
……have been a problem in that in the last two weeks they have not been received due to a technical glitch. Many apologies if you have sent one and we haven’t replied. Feel free to send them again and we promise we will reply.
In The Land Of Giants……….
…………….is now launched. Thank you to the many who came along yesterday (Friday) for what was one of the best gigs ever. It was great to see so many friends who have supported the band over the years all come together for a hot night at the Union. Thanks too to Brian who runs one of the best and probably most underrated pubs/venues around. Next are the festivals in June and we look forward to seeing you all there.
This Friday, the Union Inn, Saltash……..
…..is the album launch. We are really looking forward to a full Union and playing a 24 song set for an audience who have been remarkably patient waiting for the release of ‘In The Land Of Giants’.
Claire returns for this one and some of her songs will of course be a feature of the set. You will be able to pick up a copy of the new 12 track album on the night which features 2 new songs yet to be heard live.
We welcome………
……..James Field to the 80 Degrees family. James is a qualified Sound technician and, assisted by road crew team – Jane and Nigel, will be taking on responsibility for all things ‘audio’ at our live performances. So, welcome young Field, your help is long overdue, express yourself!!!
Launch of ‘In The Land of Giants’ gets ever closer…..no pressure!!
Invitations will soon be winging their way to our ‘nearest and dearest’ for the launch of our new album. We very much hope you are all able to join us at The Union Inn, Saltash on Friday 21st May for what we hope will be the beginning of a fresh era for the band. The Songs, artwork and marketing materials are all now at the press and we wait for the results with both nervouness and excitement. The album, ‘In the Land of Giants’ will be available here on our site at some point in the week commencing May 17th. There will, of course, be numerous copies available on the night also. Thank you all for your continued interest and support – without an audience, making music would be pointless. Feel the love. (PS. Claire will be there too!!)
New album launch date is…………..
……Friday 21st May at the Union Inn, Saltash.
The 13 track album, more than 2 years in the making, is finally ready and will be available on the night and beforehand via the website. We are really hoping to make this a memorable evening and would love to see everyone who has followed the band over the years to be there on this landmark occasion.
